Have you found yourself holding yourself back from creating YouTube videos because you don’t have a decent backdrop? Well today, I’m gonna show you the step-by-step process of how to take a background like this and turn it into this. Pretty cool, right?

Because let’s be honest if you want to keep up with the rich women in business then you got to make sure that the quality of your video is on point. Well, my name is Karin Angelly. I’m one of the co-founders here inside of Truth Bomb Marketing and we’re helping to create more female millionaires than ever before.

If that sounds amazing to you, we actually have a totally free training for you in the description called the Female Millionaire Code. So if you’re a female in business and you’re looking to create your million dollars, your million possibilities and your million ideas in your business, you’re definitely gonna want to check that out.

Okay, let me show you the step-by-step process of how to create fake backgrounds for your YouTube video and the beautiful thing about this is that this is a totally free process. You’ve probably seen people talk about how you can create backgrounds for your videos using things like Photoshop or paid programs.

Well today, I’m gonna use two totally free programs to help you actually create stunning backgrounds for your videos that are just going to look amazing. So if you’re ready to dive in then stick around with me and I’m gonna show you step-by-step how to do all this.

So the first program I’m going to be showing you to be able to create this fake background for your YouTube videos is a product called Canva. Canva is actually free to sign up. All you have to do is go to canva.com if you don’t have an account already and you can set up a free account.

Everything I’m gonna be showing you today you can do for free. So once Canva loads then we’re actually going to create a background for our video. So in order to do that, we are actually going to type in YouTube thumbnail because the YouTube thumbnail is actually going to be the right dimensions for our YouTube video.

So we’re gonna search for that and then once that populates we are going to go to this little plus right here and we are going to tap that. This is a blank document that we will be able to edit from here.

So you can either use one of the images that Canva already has available to you or you could create your own image as well using their AI. I’m gonna show you how to do both.

First off, let me show you how to choose images that they already have. We’re going to go to Elements and then we’re gonna type in maybe bookshelf. That could be a potential good background and there’s already a bookshelf background.

Let’s see what they have to offer for us. As you can see, there’s quite a bit to choose from but we want to look for one that doesn’t have a pro next to it because the pro means that we need to actually pay for it.

So this could take some time searching through here just trying to find something that actually works. So let’s tap on photos and see if there’s anything that quickly shows up.

Okay, so we found this one. So let’s make that our background for our image that we’re going to create for our video. Now what I like to do with these is I also like to actually blur the image.

So we’re going to go to edit photo and scroll down to where it says effects go over and tap blur. You’re going to want to choose the whole image that you’re going to blur and then you can choose what kind of intensity you want for your image to be blurred.

Obviously the more that we do this the more the blur. So we still want it to be slightly blurred but also able to see what’s going on in the background. And that’s it.

So that’s what our image looks like now. If we’re happy with this, then all we need to do is tap share and then we’re going to go to download so that we can actually download this onto our computer. So all you do is hit download.

Now let me show you how to actually use the AI on Canva for free. To create backgrounds as well.

So let’s go down to where it says AI image generator and we’re going to tap generate your own. This is where you can actually type in what you want.

We’re going to choose landscape that way it’s actually going to fit our image. But we can type in what we want here, describe what we want in our image and have that be our background.

So let’s type YouTube backdrop with bookshelf, plants, lights, classic look. And then we’re going to tap generate image. And there’s actually going to be four images that populate here.

You can actually choose if you want all of them or if you want just a couple or none of them and you can actually regenerate. These are actually pretty cool and might be something that we want to choose.

So as you can see, this is our first one. That’s our second one. That one’s cute and so isn’t that one. Honestly, I love all of these. So I may just play with each and every one of these because they look really cool. So I’m going to choose that.

I’m going to click on more and set image as background. And then I’m going to duplicate. I’m going to put this on there as well. And set image as background. And then I’m going to hit duplicate page once again. And I’m going to choose this set image as background. And then let’s do the last one as well.

Okay, so now I actually have four more backgrounds to choose from for my YouTube video. So I can kind of play around and see what I like the best.

Now once again, if I want to blur this picture, I’m going to do the exact same thing that I did before. I’m going to go to edit photo. I’m going to scroll down and then once again, tap blur. And I’m going to make sure it’s the whole image and then I’m going to change that intensity. So I like it around there, I think.

So we can do that for all of the images as well. Okay, so now I want to do the same thing I did before and actually download this. So I’m going to download all four images. That way I have something to play with. So let’s tap download.

Okay, so we are going to be using Cap Cut as our second tool. And I love Cap Cut. If you are new to editing beginner editor or just want a program to edit videos, that’s free. So it’s actually very robust as a free version. So I honestly have always had the free version you can pay for it if you like.

I actually use another video editing system. But in this case, let me show you the free version of Cap Cut to show you how this works. So let’s go to where it says new project.

And then we’re actually going to choose the video that we want to add as our project. Okay, next you’re going to actually tap on the video. Okay, this actually highlights the whole video.

That way you can actually remove the background because that’s what we want to do at this point. So once you’ve done that, you’re going to go to the bottom and you’re going to scroll all the way to the right over to where it says remove BG. That means remove background. So we’re going to tap on that.

And I would choose the auto removal. If you do the custom removal, you’re going to have to outline everywhere that you want to remove. And so most of the time auto removal does a pretty good job. So let’s tap on auto removal.

Now, as you can see, it removed that background and it’s still a loading, but it’s pretty much complete. Now the background is completely removed, as it said.

And now we can actually go in and we can add our image that we want to put behind that. So once you download your images from Canva, you want to make sure that they are on your phone. That way you can put those images onto your video.

So in the lower right hand corner, let’s tap that check mark. And then the lower left hand corner, tap those arrows. And then once again, in the lower left hand corner, tap the left arrow so that you deselect the video.

Now you want to go all the way down to the bottom where it says background. And at this point, you can actually choose an image to put behind this video.

So where it says image, we’re going to tap image. And then we are going to tap where that little plus is. And we’re going to search for the images that we just downloaded. As you can see, I have all of the images here.

And let’s start with this one right here and see if we like it. I actually really like that. That looks so sharp. I don’t know about you, but I think that is going to be the winner for us.

So with that, I’m going to tap that little check mark. And at this point, I can actually move my person on screen to wherever I want them to go. And so we’re just going to tell Katrina where we want her to go, which is really fun.

So now we can hit play and we can see what this looks like. This looks really sharp and it’s going to look really great. If you don’t have a great background behind you normally, this is going to be a great way to actually put a nice background behind yourself so that your YouTube videos actually look sharp. And it’s free.

Once you’re done with this, go to the upper right hand corner where that arrow is, tap that, and it’s going to start exporting to your phone. Now you can actually use this for your YouTube video. That was pretty awesome, wasn’t it?

If you found value in this, you’re definitely going to want to smash that subscribe button because I have even more amazing training coming at you to help you actually create a phenomenal business in the online space. And the truth of the matter is, is that I absolutely love teaching female business owners how to actually create a business using things like social media and specifically YouTube.

So that you can create content that’s relevant for your people.
